played a very good offense against the United States ’ team, achieving a historic victory with a 33-6 score at the University Olympic Stadium of UNAM in Mexico City during the Under-19 World Football Championship . Next Sunday , Mexico’s team will move on to face Canada in the final.
The local team dominated the first quarter, displaying a determined offensive power. Quarterback Sebastián Hernández started the battle after a forward pass to receiver Iván Gutiérrez. Jonathan García intercepted the ball on several occasions.
The team from Mexico had never beat the USA in the Under-19 Football category.
Mexico’s running back Julio Hurtado scored two touchdowns and played an excellent defense. Mexico took the lead from the start, with a 23-0 halftime lead .
The local team continued to attack relentlessly on the third quarter, when Hurtado scored his second touchdown and Mexico’s team led 30-0 .

Mexico will now move on to face Canada for the gold medal after the Canadians beat Japan 28-22 .
