The exhibit The Reconstruction of the Being, which showcases some of the most recent pieces by world-renowned Mexican sculptor Jorge Marín, opens its doors to the public in Azerbaijan's capital Baku on October 28.
According to his promoters, with this exhibit, Marín is the first Latin American sculptor to showcase his work in the Eastern European and the second collection at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
The collection consists of 10 massive bronze sculptures that explore the concept of the human body as a vessel that connects the world to obverse our surroundings and generate memories, which call viewers to reflect over the processes of personal deconstruction.

The exhibit runs through April 2017 at the Heydar Aliyev Center, which was designed by the world-renowned Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, the first woman ever to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004.
The collection of works by Marín, according to a museum press release, is aimed at creating a bridge between Mexico and Azerbaijan.

Over his 25 year-long career, Jorge Marín has participated in over 250 collective and solo exhibits in museums and galleries throughout Europe, North and South America and Asia.
