Female police officer faces sanctions for torture of suspect

The female officer from the Federal Police shown in a video along military personnel while torturing a civilian prisoner with a plastic bag over her head is facing due process according to the corporation.

According to the office of the General Commissioner of the Federal Police, the officer is in the corporation headquarters in Mexico City.

The Federal Police reiterated that it will not tolerate instances of torture and similar situations and will present the officer to the civilian authorities if needed.
