The newest addition to the Chapultepec Zoo!

On March 2, a small female giraffe was born in Mexico City ! The little addition is already hanging out with her mom , Keyla and her dad Chacho , as well as with her grandmother Fortunata , and other four female giraffes .

The little giraffe is already 1.8 meters tall and is healthy and is being fed by her mother . It was also revealed that the baby giraffe also hangs out with antelopes, cranes, and zebras.

For the second year in a row, Chapultepec's zoo has registered the birth of a baby giraffe , an endangered species.

After the giraffe was born, Mexico City's Environment Ministry launched a survey to name the little giraffe , with 99,038 votes, the baby giraffe was named “ Jirafifíta ” (little little giraffe).
