The Mexican telenovela producer Juan Osorio announced that a spin-off of the series “Mi Marido Tiene Familia” would be launched on June 24 at 8:30 PM.

The LGBT themed soap opera was nominated for the Outstanding Scripted Television Series category at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) awards this year.

The soap follows the gay relationship between Aristóteles Córcega (Emilio Osorio) and Cuauhtémoc López (Joaquín Bondoni), who will now star in a new series called Aristemo.

“The Aristemo series will premiere on June 24 at 8:30 PM. This will be the first series in Mexico with a gay couple as its main protagonists and will be broadcast on free-to-air television!” Osorio announced through his Instagram account.

The LGBT teenage power couple has gained thousands of fans both in Mexico and abroad.
