After receiving an anonymous report, elements from the Public Security State Police (PESP) and the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) found an underground lab where they made synthetic drugs inside an abandoned mine, located between the Rayón and Ures municipalities.

The PESP said that upon their arrival they found a tunnel in the abandoned mine and after the inspection, they found containers and large cans with chemicals, different utensils like oxygen and gas tanks, used in illegal labs to produce crystal meth.

The PESP closed the tunnel's entrance to forbid the entrance to outsiders to the investigation and to avoid possible damages to the health of those who live nearby, due to the strong odors.
