The fourth edition of Maco Foto will feature a new exclusive section of “Fotolibros” (Photo-books). The exhibition started on August 22 at the Citibanamex Center, and it will remain until Sunday 26.

Zona Maco informed that the Photo-book section would be handled by a selection committee led by Ana Casas, photographer and co-founder of “Hydra + Fotografía,” and Ramón Reverté, director of RM Editorial, one of the largest international publishers of books related to visual culture. Alongside these editors, Apertura Foundation, Casa Bosques, Exit, and Trilce will also be participating.

Zona Maco Foto will offer audiences ancient, modern, and contemporary photographs. The main area will feature 18 galleries from artists Patricia Conde, Almanaque, Smith Davidson, Arte Globale, Enrique Guerrero, and Trocony Letayf, among others. There will be another group of galleries participating at Zona Maco Solo, curated by Johann Mergenthaler, whose proyect is based on Jean-Paul Sartre’s book: L’Imagination.

Furthermore, Citibanamex will present its Tepito Cycle expo, led by young artists Paola Beck, Macario González, and Carlos Álvarez, who seek to promote the marginal neighborhood’s history, culture, and identity.
