The photo and video-sharing social network service Instagram has announced a new filter dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the Dead in Mexico .
Users will be able to acquire the new filter by visiting the profile of Juanpa Zurita (@eljuanpazurita) . The filter features the traditional face of “La Catrina” and can only be used on selfie-mode for Instagram stories.
Furthermore, the app indicated the most widely used hashtags during the Mexican celebration, some of which were: #DAYOFTHEDEAD, #DIADELOSMUERTOS, #CATRINA, #HALLOWEEN, #SKULL, #SUGARSKULL, and #CALAVERA .
