If you like colored lights then you have to visit the Illuminated Christmas Village of Atlixco , one of the nine Magic Towns of Puebla.

Each Christmas , the streets of this town are decorated in monumental figures, from reindeer moving and singing Christmas carols, to a train which offers free night rides.

The installation has a length of 2 kilometers, starting in the Zócalo of the town and finishing at the Revolution Park. During the walkthrough, visitors are also able to enjoy concerts, a gastronomy market – featuring its exclusive alleyway of craft beer – and mechanical rides.

This year, Argentina is the guest country, so get ready for the Tango shows and the wine tasting!

The Illuminated Village will remain open until January 7 . And while you're there, don't forget to visit three of Atlixco's hidden gems: the Former Convent of Carmen, the murals of the Town Hall, and the Municipal Hospital, with an art gallery dedicated to St. John of God.
