President Enrique Peña Nieto officially announced the resignation of Finance Minister Luis Videgaray.
During a message broadcast live from the official residence of Los Pinos, the president thanked Videgaray for his work in the ministry. “He has been a key element in the financial reform and public policies.”
In addition, President Peña Nieto announced that Videgaray will be replaced by current Minister of Social Development José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, who in turn will be replaced by former Undersecretary of the Interior Luis Enrique Miranda Nava.
Today morning, ministry spokeswoman Claudia Algorri announced Luis Videgaray's resignation, she also said the he will not take another public post.
