Former Mexican President Vicente Fox said today in Bogota that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump "is going to die politically because he has a big mouth" due to his derogatory comments about immigrants.
"These are statements against himself because he has said nothing but drivel, and like we say here, loose lips sink ships," expressed Fox in comments to EFE during the Forum on New Generation Democracy for the Americas, organised by the Club of Madrid, the Good Government Foundation and other institutions.
Fox, who was president of Mexico between 2000 and 2006, predicted that Trump "is going to die politically for being a big mouth, releasing rubbish and whatever ideas he can come up at the moment just for being in TV."
"It is unfortunate that Mr. Trump will propose to have the United States confined behind a wall if the U.S. has, precisely, broken all the walls of slavery and of discrimination. Along history, all the walls have been a total failure," he added.
For Fox, Trump "is harming his country" and his political party, as well as "hurting himself and his family."
