Mexican army finds tunnel in Tijuana

The Ministry of National Defense reported the discovery of a tunnel over 400 feet long and some 18 feet deep in the neighborhood of Garita de Otay, near the border crossing point of the same name.

Military personnel commissioned to the area discovered the 4 by 5.5 feet tunnel on July 30, during actions upholding the Federal Law on Firearms and Control of Explosives.

The tunnel was found inside a wine cellar belonging to the HEGA importing and exporting company, according to the report.
