Mexico's Soccer Federation informed that striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernández was successfully operated after suffering a collarbone fracture during a friendly match with Honduras.

"The player is recovering from the surgery," the Federation said on Twitter.
Gerardo Aguilar, doctor of the national soccer team, said that Hernández would take between three and four weeks to recover, so he will not be able to participate in the Gold Cup.
