Today we bring you a list of places to go, things to eat, and beaches to visit on spring break!

Located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico, according to Trip Advisor. Here you will find beaches of fine, white sand, crystal blue waters, plenty of hammocks and multi-colored umbrellas where you will be able to rest your stress away.

But Playa del Carmen also offers countless tourist activities for all ages, such as windsurfing, jet skiing, kayaking, and snorkeling in the impressive Mayan coral reef. Today we bring you a list of places to go, things to eat, and beaches to visit!

1- Enjoy the street scene at La Quinta Avenida: Perhaps the most iconic place in the city, the 5th Avenue has all sorts of bars, clubs, restaurants, cafes, and hotels for you to get lost in and have fun with your friends!

2- Eat shrimp tacos at La Floresta: For more than 20 years, La Floresta has been a gastronomic landmark for locals and tourists alike, serving fresh seafood in the form of Mexico’s traditional tacos.

3- Try out world-famous cocktails at the Sundowner Yacht Club: The first Australian restaurant in Mexico, the Sundowner offers all sorts of seafood, as well as cocktail drinks created by famous mixologist Tim Harris.

5- Have a taste of authentic Mexican food at Axiote: World famous chef Xavier Pérez Stone pays homage to Mayan gastronomy with a serious of complex yet delicate dishes.

6- Have a Mayan drink at the Alux underground restaurant: With a capacity for 250 diners, this restaurant-cavern offers a haute cuisine menu, accompanied by a bar offering both national and international liquors, as well as some of the most exotic Mayan cocktails!

7- Swim with the fishes at the Xcaret Eco Park: Just a short drive away from Playa del Carmen, here you will find relaxing beaches, family activities, and night shows. Xcaret has a butterfly pavilion, sea turtles, monkeys, tapirs, and a bird aviary.

8- Get in touch with your Mayan side at the ancient ruins of Tulum: Probably the most emblematic archeological site in Quintana Roo, Tulum was built in 564 A.D. Overlooking the ocean from a giant cliff, Tulum is only a short drive away from Playa del Carmen.

9- Listen to live music at the Calle 10 Beach: Here you can find numerous beach clubs to listen to live music, as well as seafood restaurants. You can grab your cooler and have a drink with your friends while lying out on the cool white sands.

10- Get wasted at the Coco Bongo Show & Disco: A combination of Cirque du Soleil, a concert, a theater, and a disco, Coco Bongo has been described as a one in a lifetime experience where you can party with your friends like there is no tomorrow.
