According to Tabasco ’s Health Ministry, inside a nursing home in the state, an elderly person has died of COVID-19, and 9 residents and 9 workers have contracted the virus. Despite the implementation of special measures such as the halting of visits, authorities registered the COVID-19 outbreak.
One of the workers at the nursing home reported the situation to EL UNIVERSAL . The nursing home , under the DIF , is inhabited by 68 elders.

Several residents started to feel sick and had a high fever , and stopped eating since last Thursday. The next day, healthcare workers arrived at the nursing home to test the residents but only tested 11 people.
According to the nurse who reached out to the newspaper, the health condition of the elderly people who tested positive worsens every day and says it is “a massive contagion .”
The nurse says that despite the checkpoint, banning visits, and hygiene measures such as constantly washing their hands, they weren’t able to halt the spread of COVID-19 .
