On March 2, a small female giraffe was born in Mexico City! The little addition is already hanging out with her mom, Keyla and her dad Chacho, as well as with her grandmother Fortunata, and other four female giraffes.

The little giraffe is already 1.8 meters tall and is healthy and is being fed by her mother. It was also revealed that the baby giraffe also hangs out with antelopes, cranes, and zebras.

For the second year in a row, Chapultepec's zoo has registered the birth of a baby giraffe, an endangered species.

After the giraffe was born, Mexico City's Environment Ministry launched a survey to name the little giraffe, with 99,038 votes, the baby giraffe was named “Jirafifíta” (little little giraffe).
