Miss World meets with Mexico's President

told EL UNIVERSAL “when they wold me I was going to meet with the President , I couldn't believe it, we seem like a distant figure and suddenly seeing that he was interested in the projects, in helping, was good. Obviously, he was unfamiliar with the contests and the first thing we did was explain why we are different, empty beauty , without a purpose, doesn't make sense and I think the President understood and he liked it. The Indigenous population we've worked with is the same he has worked with.”

After this first meeting at Palacio Nacional, the Vanessa Ponce said she hopes there is another meeting in the future to create an action plan, as the President expressed his support, but she claimed she isn't interested in becoming a politician .

“Definitely no, but I'd like to be part of a non-profit organization , I'm going to have my own foundation but it will have nothing to do with politics , which I think can help a lot but it limits you in regards to who you can help and why, because the purposes can be mistaken; I'm not interested in people voting for me, I can't see myself being President or Governor, Deputy or Senator , no,” she explained.
