Mexican baseball team triumphs at Baseball World Cup

The Mexican U-23 baseball team was crowned at the Baseball World Cup , after beating Japan 2-1 during the game at the Édgar Rentería stadium in Barranquilla, Colombia.

During the game, which lasted up to 10 innings, Fabricio Macias scored two runs.

The pitcher, Carlos Morales , from Saltillo, gave Mexico the title.

During the world cup in Colombia , Mexico also defeated Venezuela (10-4), South Africa (13-3), Colombia (7-6), Netherlands (14-7), and Taipei (2-1).
