Mexicans win gold in artistic swimming

Mexican athletes won 7 gold medals at the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series

During the final day of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series held in Greece , the Mexican swimmers Nuria Diosdado and Karem Achach won gold in the Duet Free and Duet Combination categories, earning a total of 7 gold medals for Mexico's team.

“We ended with 7 gold medals out of 7. Thank you all for your support and GO MEXICO,” wrote Diosdado on her Twitter account:

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto congratulated Mexico's team on their victory:

This tournament has opened up the doors for the Mexican “mermaids” to the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held in Barranquilla, Colombia.
