De Mauleón, a victim of insecurity and hate

The case of journalist and writer Héctor de Mauleón has highlighted the insecurity climate in Mexico City, with theft and robberies in the streets of the 16 boroughs in the city. But what is more worrying is that the EL UNIVERSAL columnist has been threatened and didn't receive the proper attention during the previous administration, from the protection mechanism program implemented by the federal government. This mechanism has been used for personal interests and in the past, some officials profited from it. De Mauleón had to hire someone to protect him. Besides the insecurity climate, the hate spread by some media outlets and social media should be also mentioned, and the political polarization in Mexico , which is the result of the 2018 presidential election . It's time to focus on the security of the population and stop political confrontation to benefit Mexico and all its citizens.

President López Obrador to visit Hidalgo

As we revealed before, President López Obrador has changed his agenda and will focus on states troubled by insecurity . Tomorrow, the President will travel to Hidalgo . We've been told that all the security cabinet is reviewing the security strategy implemented in the state, mainly in regards to fuel theft and besides carrying out his daily press conference there, López Obrador will inaugurate the new C5i, a new operation center to fight crime .
