Disney-Pixar “Coco” received over 4 million spectators in its first opening weekend in Mexico, which has made it the most-watched original animated film in the country.
According to Forbes, this Day of the Dead-themed film grossed $176.7 million of Mexican pesos during that same weekend and is expected to have a similar reception in other countries of Latin America.
"Coco" was directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3), co-directed by Adrian Molina, and produced by Darla K. Anderson, and will premiere in the U.S. on November 22.
