One of the tourist activities that had the most Internet bookings during 2018 in Mexico was the Chichén Itzá Tour, followed by the Xcaret Theme Park and the Tulum Ruins Tour .
In a statement published by Despegar.com, the online travel agency said that now Mexican travelers seek to prepare in advance for activities during their trip.
The Manager of Despegar Mexico, Francisco Ceballos, explained that “tourists can save 20 percent or more by paying for their tickets in advance.”

He explained that some of the most popular bookings among tourists were the Chichén Itzá Tour, the Xcaret Theme Park, the Tulum Ruins Tour, the Isla Mujeres Tour, and the Visit to Teotihuacán.

At the global scale, the most popular tourist destinations last year were Disney Parks and Universal Studios (Orlando), the Cirque du Soleil Show Michael Jackson: ONE (Las Vegas), Blue Man Group Show (Las Vegas), Excursions of City Pass in New York, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris .
Likewise, the report indicated that Cancun was the destination with the most online tourist activity reservations by Mexican travelers during 2018, followed by the State of Mexico, Orlando, Las Vegas, New York, and Paris .
