Each Christmas, the streets of this town are decorated in monumental figures, from reindeer moving and singing Christmas carols, to a train which offers free night rides.

The installation has a length of 2 kilometers, starting in the Zócalo of the town and finishing at the Revolution Park. During the walkthrough, visitors are also able to enjoy concerts, a gastronomy market – featuring its exclusive alleyway of craft beer – and mechanical rides.

This year, Argentina is the guest country, so get ready for the Tango shows and the wine tasting!

The Illuminated Village will remain open until January 7. And while you're there, don't forget to visit three of Atlixco's hidden gems: the Former Convent of Carmen, the murals of the Town Hall, and the Municipal Hospital, with an art gallery dedicated to St. John of God.
