The famous Roma neighborhood in Mexico City will offer several activities as part of the Oscar Awards Ceremony

The head of the Ministry of Culture of Mexico City, José Alfonso Suárez del Real y Aguilera, hinted that various activities were being prepared in the Roma neighborhood as part of the Oscar awards ceremony, in which Alfonso Cuarón’s latest film ‘Roma’ received 10 nominations.

In a press conference, he commented that the film will be screened on February 24 at 4:00 PM in the Rio de Janeiro square, and at 6:00 PM, there will be a live broadcast of the Academy Awards ceremony.

The celebration will begin on February 9 with a photography exhibition. On February 17, there will be a guided tour in the "Roma de Cuarón," featuring Suárez del Real y Aguilera himself as the tour guide. On the same day, the Esperanza Azteca Orchestra will also offer a concert.

The official hopes that ‘Roma’ will win most of the awards, so they have prepared a celebration at the Angel of Independence, on Reforma Avenue.
