4 dead after 60 migrants left abandoned in cargo truck

60 migrants were abandoned last night inside of a trailer truck in Veracruz, resulting in the death of four people.

The trailer truck was headed to the US-Mexican border.

The State Attorney's General Office confirmed that three migrants from Guatemala and one from Ecuador died from suffocation.

The Ministry of Health and Assistance also reported that some of the 60 migrants, without giving an exact number, were transferred to the Tierra Blanca general hospital, and others to the Mexican Social Security Institute clinic.
