Apple opened its first store in Mexico at Mexico City’s Via Sante Fe on Saturday.
At 11:00 am, about 100 employees toured the store singing “Cielito Lindo” and shouting “Viva Mexico” and then cut the inaugural ribbon.
“Mexico City is one of the world’s top cultural and economic cities and we could not be more excited to bring the very best of Apple to our customers there,” said Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and Online Stores, in its website.
“Mexico's artistic and entrepreneurial spirit makes it a natural fit for Apple.” she added.
