The State Commission of Human Rights (CEDH) has launched an investigation against public servants who work for the Secretary of Health in Tabasco and who allegedly allowed a woman to gave birth inside of a truck in hospital's parking lot.
The CEDH released an official statement stating that it has launched an official investigation after several articles surfaced on news outlets on Wednesday that indicate certain Human Rights violations against a woman and her newborn by public servants.
The acts were documented in a video that was shared on social media on Tuesday, where a woman can be seen giving birth inside of a truck at the entrance of the hospital, located in the state's capital, Villahermosa.
In the video, another frantic woman can be heard saying that they had already gone to the hospital to seek treatment, but were denied treatment because 20 people were already waiting to receive treatment. The woman goes on to say that they gave her some kind of form the first time they sought treatment that said there were still people ahead of them.
“I'm going to share this video online, and not only that, but I'm going to sue you, too” she says, and then goes on to say that the security guard wouldn't even let them in the building the first time they went to the hospital.
After the video was shared online, the Tabasco State Governor released an official statement confirming that the woman and her newborn are stable and in perfect health conditions and are receiving necessary medical treatment.
Both the woman and her newborn were discharged from the hospital this afternoon, and are in perfect condition.
