Strong winds heralding whirlwinds and possibly tornadoes are expected this evening north of the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
The undersecretary of Civil Protection in the state of Coahuila, Francisco Martínez Ávalos, took on the cameras of the Foro TV channel to call the population to be aware of the information from the National Water Commission (Conagua) and avoid dangerous situations.
Conagua just released a report stating that there are strong winds up to 31 miles per hour over the Baja California peninsula, Sonora and Chihuahua, as well as winds with the same intensity, but with a probability of whirlwinds and tornadoes north of Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
Conagua also expects rain over most of Mexico, particularly the states of Chiapas, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Puebla, Veracruz, Tabasco, Oaxaca, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Morelos, Tlaxcala, Guerrero, Michoacán, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
