The Office of the Attorney General reported the arrest of Jorge Humberto Pérez Cázares in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, in coordination with the Mexican navy.
After a lengthy labor of intelligence for his arrest, Pérez Cázares was transferred to the maximum security prison of the Altiplano.
Interpol staff also prepared the process for an extradition requested by the United States for conspiracy and drug-related crimes.
