Single Command to assume control of security in Papantla

Javier Duarte Ochoa, governor of Veracruz, announced that the Single Command will assume control of security of Papantla, where eight police agents were arrested for their alleged involvement in the disappearance of three youngsters.

Papantla is not the first city in Veracruz to request the presence of the federal force. The municipality of Jaltipan, south of Veracruz, also requested its presence.

In total 65 cities in Veracruz are currently under this security program.
