Hispanic media company Univision announced today that it will present a series about Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán by the end of the year.

The series will present an "unauthorized" view of the life of the notorious drug dealer, and will be written by former Colombian drug dealer Andrés López López, reported the company in a press release.

Univision added that "Joaquín 'Chapo' Guzmán: El Barón de la Droga" (Joaquín "Chapo" Guzmán: The drug baron) will air on the UniMás channel, but so far there are no reports on the cast.

The story will be written by López López, a member of the Norte del Valle cartel who was in prison in the United States.

He is known for the series "El Cartel de los Sapos" (The Toad Cartel) and "El Señor de los Cielos) "Lord of the Skies", the last one about Mexican drug trafficker Amado Carrillo Fuentes.
