The Major of Mexico City, Miguel Ángel Mancera, reported that the governor of Veracruz, Javier Duarte, will declare in relation to the multiple murder in the area of Narvarte.
The city's Assistant Attorney General Edmundo Porfirio Garrido Osorio will travel to Veracruz on Tuesday to take the statement by the governor.
"I have given instructions to the Attorney General of this capital city to have the Assistant Attorney General for Central Preliminary Investigations to travel tomorrow with a team of prosecutors and official secretaries, in coordination with the government of Veracruz, to have a declaration," expressed Mancera.
Mancera Espinosa said that he spoke in the morning with Duarte in order to notify him that a statement is required on the case, either by responding to a series of questions or with his declaration taken directly.
He pointed out that it was decided to visit the governor in order to expedite the investigations on the killing of photojournalist Rubén Espinosa, who denounced alleged threats as a result of his work in the state of Veracruz.
