The medical team of Chivas informed that Carlos Salcido has a sprained right ankle, and not a fracture as it was rumored after Jesús Dueñas from Tigres kicked him by accident in a sliding tackle.
Chivas added that they will inform how long the player will need to recover after an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.
Dueñas, expelled from the match after the incident, came to apologize in person to Salcido at the hospital.
