During a speech on Saturday in New York City, the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said that law abiding immigrants should be offered a path to citizenship, "not second class status."

Clinton also criticized her Republican counterparts for supporting stricter immigration measures.

"They want to put immigrants who work hard and pay taxes at risk of deportation," Clinton said.

According to her campaign, the former first lady is willing to go further than President Barack Obama on immigration reform.
