The Health Ministry is analyzing a new suspected case in Oaxaca . It is a 68-years-old who was hospitalized for presenting the antecedent of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease .

The federal agency informed that until now, there have been no positive cases in Mexico and the woman’s is stable.

On February 15 , health authorities confirmed that the suspected COVID-19 case in Oaxaca tested negative. So until now, there are still no positive cases of the disease that has caused worldwide panic registered in Mexico.

Authorities reported that the patient is in stable conditions, without respiratory conditions , and waiting to get better to go back home.

Even with the negative result, the Health Ministry urged the population to continue implementing basic hygiene measures in their daily life “for there is a wide range of respiratory diseases that can be prevented with actions.”

For its part, Oaxaca’s Health Services informed that, along with the federal ministry, they have activated the protocols for epidemiological monitoring and shielding . The case is being analyzed and is the laboratory results will be known in 48 hours.
