The President's cabinet needs to slow down

President López Obrador

's cabinet is probably not very pleased at the moment, as the President said that his first 100 days as the country's leader were only the tip of the iceberg and that many more things are coming, he also claimed he will keep on working 16 hours a day . Some of his collaborators have suggested that given his medical record, the President should be more careful with his health in the face of such long work shifts. And although the President's health is good, several on his cabinet members seem exhausted and now they have to work more hours. During his inauguration, the President said that he would work for 16 hours to complete the work of 12 years in six . The question is if his cabinet will handle the rhythm and if he will have changes.

Peña Nieto is back at the PRI

We've been told that former President, Enrique Peña Nieto , is staying close to the PRI's political life . This weekend, there was a meeting in Ixtapan de la Sal, the PRI's leader , Claudia Ruiz Massieu was present and also the former Education Minister, Aurelio Nuño . The reason behind the meeting was the future of the party and the incoming internal election, they also discuss who will this group support: José Narro or René Juárez . Any of them will have to compete against Campeche Governor, Alejandro Moreno.

Monreal and his titanic task

We've been told that the appointment of the minister is not only at the hands of the PRD and MC but also in the hands of Morena . Both the PRD and MC haven't issued any statements in favor or against any contender: Yasmín Esquivel, Loretta Ortiz , and Celia Maya. Morena members are divided between Esquivel and Ortiz , therefore, its coordinator, Ricardo Monreal has to negotiate with other political forces and also inside his party to form a united front. After discussing the issue with his party members, Monreal has to negotiate with Miguel Ángel Mancera an d Dante Delgado . At best, Monreal could reach 79 votes but for one of the candidates to be appointed, 85 votes are needed. Therefore, Monreal has to convince six PRI or PAN senators, who have constantly rejected the candidates. Will Monreal succeed?

The education reform is pending

We've been told that in the lower chamber, the education reform is still pending. Despite the fact that the Education commission signed an agreement for the reform to be ready by March 15. They claim that the passing of a bill is not taking place soon as the debate between Morena and its allies with the opposition and organizations is still pending. So everything indicates that on Teachers' Day , professors will still be waiting for the reform.
