Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Minister Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón announced on Thursday that Mexico will join Sanofi-Pasteur’s third phase of its protocol to develop a vaccine against COVID-19.

Our country's participation will involve performing trials of the vaccine in Mexico as well as early access to the developed vaccine.

The Minister took to his Twitter account to thank France’s cooperation to reach the agreement.

“SANOFI-PASTEUR has announced the incorporation of Mexico the phase 3 of its protocol for developing a vaccine against COVID-19. There will be trials in our country and we will have early access to the resulting vaccine. I thank France’s support in this accomplishment.
