The Mexican weightlifter Jennifer Cantú won gold at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Cup in Fuzhou, China.

In total, Jennifer Cantú lifted 215 kilos, which made her the gold winner at the championship.

The Mexican weightlifter won this important competition, which grants her points for the Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo in 2020.

The process for the Olympic classification was divided into three stages: from November 2018 to April 31, 2019; from May 1 to October 31, 2019, and November 1 to April 31, 2020. Therefore, the weightlifters have to compete in each stage at least once and participate in six performances in total.

During each stage, there will be gold, silver, and bronze awards; from those six participations performed by each athlete, they should win 2 gold medals, or at least one gold and one silver.

At the end of the process, the International Weightlifting Federation will assign each country the number of places it achieved.
