There is a particular time of the year when avocados become the most coveted ingredient: Super Bowl season

Football fans all over the world are getting ready for one of the most important sports events of the year: the Super Bowl LIV.

The biggest party of the National Football League will take place next February 2 at the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, which will also be a celebration for the NFL’s 100 seasons.

Have you heard of the many health benefits of avocado?

This year has promised an unforgettable event that will feature Demi Lovato singing the U.S. National Anthem and Jennifer López and Shakira at the half-time show.

For their part, Los Tigres del Norte will add a Mexican touch to the Super Bowl LIV since the Mexican band made a deal with Fox Sports to present one of their music videos at the beginning of the broadcast.

In recent years, avocados have won popularity out of Mexico up to the point where millennials are mocked for their love of this Mexican fruit. However, there is a particular time of the year when avocados become the most coveted ingredient in the United States: Super Bowl season.

Did you know Los Tigres del Norte will add a Mexican touch to the Super Bowl LIV?

Only last year, exporters who are part of the business association representing Mexican avocado producers and exporters (Apeam) informed that an 18-ton truckload of avocado was sent every six minutes to the United States to supply the American country for the Super Bowl.

As a result, the shipment of avocado from Mexico to the United States for the sports event reached a record number of 82,993 tonnes as of January 2019.

Have you heard of guacamole, the most coveted Super Bowl snack?

Avocado is so popular during the Super Bowl that the Apeam has reminded that, for the sixth year in a row, a commercial advertisement will be broadcast during the game to promote the consumption of avocados from Mexico.

The best part about avocados is that they are good for your health so they must be your go-to option for a healthy Super Bowl snack.

If you want to make the most of Sunday’s game, be sure to prepare these healthy Super Bowl recipes that include avocado as the main ingredient!
