Anti-traffic ticket system

Even with his protection as a legislator, the coordinator of the National Action Party (PAN) congressional group in San Lazaro, Marko Cortés, drives through streets of Mexico City in his hybrid car with half of the plate covered, reason why, only the letter M and the number 55 can be read, and the rest (AHS), is covered with some kind of cardboard. Of course, no one bothers him because he brings with him a motorcyclist, of the so-called group foals, as protection from the Secretariat of Public Security, who also, by the way, thought of covering his own plate. Mr. Marko's own party mates have noticed this and wonder if it is an "anti-traffic ticket system". At the end of the day, we are told, it seems that the leader of the group is not a good example of citizen behavior, as you can see in the photograph in this column. By the way, the Cortes' team was asked the reason for covering his plate and the answer was: "We hadn't noticed on the plate, we will look into it with the drivers" ... oops!

Shut the stable door after… dead soldiers

Noooow they are willing to get into the huachicoleros issue, at least that's the message sent bythe Senate, who could finally address the minute sent by the Low Chamber to strengthen the sanctions against the pipesuckers, from 20 to 30 years of prison. We were told that the senators are preparing an extraordinary period to set as mandatory the legislation approved in the chamber in San Lazaro. The High Chamber will eventually approve the draft decree that came from the Chamber of Deputies, with an increase of sanctions in the Federal Law to Prevent and Sanction offenses committed in the Hydrocarbon field. Now we can say that they shut the stable door after… soldiers are dead.

PRI members don't know each other

Tuesday was not a good day for surnames in the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). We are told that, during the 39th Extraordinary Session, they changed the surname to the new general secretary of the National Executive Committee, Claudia Ruiz Massieu, and to the national leader, Enrique Ochoa Reza. First was Mrs. Claudia, who despite having a surname of descent in the party, wasn't saved. We have been told that, when announcing the selection process for which Mrs. Claudia was elected secretary general, the leader of the National Peasant Confederation, Rubén Escajeda, called her Claudia "Rius" Massieu, later, when she passed the word to President of the Institutional Revolutionary, Senator Ernesto Gándara, he baptized him once again as Enrique Ochoa "Rosa". Could it be that some members of the PRI are starting to forget each other?

Drunk at PAN and joyful at MORENA

What comes as joy to the rich, is drunkenness to the poor.  It is with this kind of phrases and sayings, that the MORENA leader, Andrés Manuel López Obrador usually uses, that his position can be explained before the controversial subjects of corruption that surround him. We were reminded about the highlight of the presidential candidate debate in 2006, when Andrés struck a hard blow at then-candidate of the National Action Party (PAN), Felipe Calderon, accusing his brother-in-law, Diego Hildebrando Zavala, brother of Margarita Zavala, of obtaining millionaire contracts for his company, Hildebrando, SA de CV, in addition to claiming that this firm manipulated the electoral register to benefit Calderón. This cost him some points in the PAN candidate's polls and marked the campaign. Now, when three videos show a deputy and former candidate of MORENA to municipal president, whom López Obrador defended  after signs that she was corrupt appeared, receiving wads of bills, AMLO gets angry and accuses EL UNIVERSAL, without any proof, to be part of a plot to attack him, but he doesn't even touch the deputy of MORENA, Eva Cadena. Not one claim for her, the important thing is not that she is corrupt, but that his political enemies want to harm him.
