Oscar De La Hoya arrested for DUI in California

Former boxer Oscar De La Hoya was arrested for driving under the influence in Pasadena, California.

According to U.S. authorities, the 43-year-old boxing promoter was pulled over for speeding around 2:00 am.

Officers detected the odor of alcohol on De La Hoya's breath and suspected he was drunk. 

The former champion failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested.

De La Hoya was later released from jail to his manager.
