Mexico and U.S. are friends, partners and allies: President Peña Nieto

After Donald Trump was elected as the next U.S. president, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto said that Mexico and the United States are friends, partners and allies and must continue working together. 

On Twitter, the president posted a series of messages congratulating the United States for the elections.

"Mexico and the United States are friends, partners and allies that must continue collaborating for the competitiveness and development of North America," Peña Nieto wrote on Twitter.

Peña Nieto also said that he was ready to work with Trump to advance the countries' relationship.
