EZLN delivers 10 tons of food supplies to teachers

The Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) delivered 10 tons of food supplies to the teachers who have been on strike since May 15, protesting over education reform.

Aboard several trucks, the Zapatistas delivered food and kitchen utensils to the teachers of the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE).

The teachers thanked the Zapatistas for the food supplies that were collected in the regions where they live.

Subcomandantes Moisés and Galeano claimed that the 10 tons of food have a value of 290,000 pesos (around US$ 15,665).

On Friday, teachers lifted the blockades in 8 of the 9 regions of Chiapas, except San Cristobal de las Casas.
