Dissident teachers take central Mexico City

Up to 500 dissident teachers are beginning a protest at the corner of central Reforma avenue and Bucareli street, according to the Department of Government of Mexico City.

The vehicular traffic is expected to be affected and a group of grenadiers is already in place in place to keep them from nearby Monument of the Revolution.

According to the leader of Section Nine of the National Coordination of Education Workers, Enrique Enríquez Ibarra, they are waiting for a group coming from the State of Mexico.

The teachers will then move to the nearby Ministry of the Interior in order to try to have a dialog with the authorities. If they are unable to do so, they will march to the International Airport of Mexico City.
