Brexit will hit Latin America like a tsunami: Mari Carmen Aponte

The British departure from the European Union is a tsunami that will reach Latin American, sooner or later, according to the  Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Mari Carmen Aponte.

"It will definitely reach Latin America because it is a tsunami, but it is too soon to know what effects it will have," expressed Aponte in an interview with EFE, during a meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce.

"It is a transcendental development," she added.
