Federal police arrested three people at the Mexico City International Airport, while trying to collect eight suitcases containing over 600 kilos (1,320 pounds) of cocaine.
In a statement, authorities informed that the arrest was made when federal agents noticed the three people in the unloading luggage area of a flight from Caracas, Venezuela.
The detainees were unloading luggage from the aircraft and putting them in a pickup truck, which violates the customs inspection protocols.
The suitcases containing a total of 545 packages of cocaine and the three detainees were sent to the Assistant Attorney General's Office for Special Investigations on Organized Crime (SEIDO).
