Mexican actress Leonorilda Ochoa, known for TV shows like “Los Beverly de Peralvillo,” died in Mexico City today, at 76.
Her son, Sergio Ochoa, confirmed her death. The actress lived in a nursing home in the metropolitan district of Coyoacán, since she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Ochoa became famous in the 1960's and 70's for her comedic roles in TV series like “Los Beverly de Peralvillo,” as well as soap operas and other performances.
Recently, her son touched the subject of Alzheimer's with the monologue “El cuidador. Mamá las llaves del coche no van en el refri” (The keeper. Mom, the car keys are not supposed to be inside the fridge).
Ochoa was born on October 30, 1939, in Mexico City.
