Suspected Canadian pedophile sent to prison in Mexico

Suspected pedophile Walter Zuk, a Canadian citizen, was formally sent to prison this afternoon, under charges of sexual abuse and corruption of minors.

Zuk reportedly will appeal the prison order presented by judge Beatriz Fuentes Navarro. The whole process could take up to three months and will be conducted by lawyer Jorge Medina Vargas.

According to the head of the Institute for the Family Development in Acapulco, Heriberto Noriega Cantú, the minors identified as Montserrat and Michel, seen in a video recording while being kissed in the mouth by Zuk, are under the custody of the agency.

The girls are in a the Villa de las Niñas refuge for girls and will remain there until the investigations on the case continue. Their parents agreed to have them there and can visit them.
