Governor of Veracruz meets with family of Daphne

Governor of Veracruz Javier Duarte met with Daphne's grandmother, promising the family that justice will be done.

Duarte said that the state government institutions will support Daphne's family during the process, providing psychological and legal assistance, if needed.

17-year-old Daphne was allegedly raped by a group of four young men from affluent families in Boca del Río, Veracruz. 

The father of Daphne, Javier Fernández, accused state authorities of delaying investigations into the case.

The four men belong to a group called 'Los Porkys de Costa de Oro,' whose members include sons of politicians, officials and businessmen in Veracruz.
