Pope arrives at Vatican embassy in Mexico City

Pope Francis returned to the Vatican embassy in Mexico City around 8:25 p.m., after his trip to the southern state of Chiapas.

Upon arrival, he met with some of the faithful waiting for him behind the security walls surrounding the building. He greeted the people and blessed them.

He then took a microphone and prayed to the Virgin Mary, first in Italian and then Spanish, in order to ask her to "take care of us a lot".

The Pope also spoke and hugged some of the people and embraced some kids who broke the security around him and took hold of him.
